There are several types of jet mill used in China's industry: flat jet mill, fluidized bed jet jet mill, circulating tube jet mill, jet jet mill, target jet mill. In these types of jet mill, flat jet mill, fluidized bed jet jet mill and circulating tube jet mill are widely used.

After the material enters the crushing chamber through the screw feeder, the impact energy of high-speed airflow is ejected from several relatively arranged nozzles, and the collision and friction generated by the rapid expansion of the airflow and the suspension boiling of the fluidized bed crush the material. The coarse and fine mixed powder passes through the turbine classification device set at the top under the negative pressure airflow. The fine powder is forced to pass through the classification device and is captured by the cyclone collector and the bag filter. The coarse powder is thrown to the four walls by gravity and the centrifugal force generated by the high-speed rotating classification device and settles back to the crushing chamber to continue crushing.

The high-pressure airflow as the kinetic energy of crushing enters the pressure-stabilizing gas storage package on the periphery of the crushing chamber as the airflow distribution station. The airflow is accelerated into supersonic airflow through the Laval nozzle and then enters the crushing grinding chamber. At the same time, the material is accelerated into the crushing grinding chamber through the Venturi nozzle for synchronous crushing. Since the Laval nozzle and the crushing chamber are installed at an acute angle, the high-speed jet drives the material to circulate in the crushing chamber, and the particles and the wall surface of the fixed target plate are impacted, collided and rubbed to crush. Driven by centripetal airflow, the fine particles are introduced into the central outlet pipe of the pulverizer and enter the cyclone separator for collection. Under the action of centrifugal force, the coarse powder is thrown to the peripheral wall of the pulverizing chamber for circular movement and continues to be pulverized.

The raw material is added into the crushing chamber through the venturi nozzle, and the high-pressure air flow is sprayed into the racetrack-shaped circulating tube crushing chamber with unequal diameter and curvature through a group of nozzles to accelerate the particles to impact, collide and rub each other and crush. At the same time, the swirl also drives the crushed particles to enter the classification zone upward along the pipeline, and under the action of the centrifugal force field in the classification zone, the dense material flow is divided, and the fine particles are discharged after classification by the louver inertial classifier in the inner layer. Coarse particles in the outer layer along the down pipe return to continue the cycle of crushing.

The jet mill (fluidized bed jet mill) is a compressed air through the Laval nozzle accelerated into supersonic air flow and then injected into the crushing zone to fluidize the material (the air flow expands into a fluidized bed suspension boiling and collides with each other), so each particle has the same state of motion. In the comminution zone, the accelerated particles are comminuted against each other at the intersection of the nozzles. The crushed material is transported to the classification area by the ascending airflow, and the fine powder that meets the particle size requirement is screened by the horizontally arranged classification wheel, and the coarse powder that does not meet the particle size requirement is returned to the crushing area to continue crushing. The qualified fine powder is collected by the high-efficiency cyclone separator with the air flow, and the dust-containing gas is filtered and purified by the dust collector and discharged into the atmosphere.
