In recent years, with the development of technology, the beginning of the new industry has brought hope, many chemical industry, polymer materials, such as carbon black superfine grinding applications will be used in the jet mill. So what factors will affect the efficiency of the jet mill?
This jet mill has a lot of advantages. It relies on the air flow to reach the required fineness by the collision of the material itself. This ensures the purity of the material. The more brittle the material is, the finer the crushed in the crushing process, the greater the yield.
feed particle size
When crushing hard materials, there are also strict requirements for the particle size of the feed. As far as titanium powder is concerned, the crushed calcined material needs to be controlled at 100~200 mesh; the crushed surface treated material is generally 40~70 mesh, not more than 2~5 mesh.
Temperature of working medium
When the temperature of the working medium is too high, the flow rate of the gas will increase. Take air as an example, the critical speed at room temperature is 320 m/s. When the temperature rises to 480 ℃, the critical speed can be increased to 500 m/s, I .e. the kinetic energy is increased by 150, so the temperature of the working medium is conducive to the improvement of the crushing effect.
The jet mill, also known as jet mill, jet mill or energy flow mill, is a mechanical equipment that uses the energy of high-speed air flow (300-500 m/s) or superheated steam (300-400 ℃) to pulverize solid materials. As one of the commonly used ultra-fine grinding equipment, jet mill is widely used in chemical materials, medicine, food, metal powder and other ultra-hard materials of ultra-fine grinding and breaking molding.
The jet mill has a wide range of particle size, and its manipulation is simple and convenient, but in the process of crushing, the crushing effect is often different. The crushing effect of the jet mill is mainly affected by the following factors: gas-solid ratio, feed particle size, temperature and pressure of the working medium, and crushing additives.
gas-solid ratio
The gas-solid ratio of the jet mill during crushing is an important technical parameter and an important indicator. If the gas-solid ratio is too small, the kinetic energy of the airflow will be insufficient, which will affect the fineness of the product. However, if the gas-solid ratio is too high, it will not only spread the energy, but also worsen the dispersion function of some pigments.
Pressure of working medium
It is understood that the pressure of the working fluid is the main parameter to produce the jet velocity, and it is also the main parameter that affects the fineness of crushing.
